Welcome to Class 1!
We are a fabulous mix of Nursery, Reception and Year 1 children, taught by Miss Walton. Our mixed‑age environment encourages children to learn from one another, with older pupils modelling skills and younger children gaining confidence by joining in.
We support children to become capable, independent learners. From putting on their own coats to choosing their own activities and resources, children are encouraged to take responsibility and make decisions. Our purpose built classroom offers a warm and nurturing environment where the children grow, play and learn together.
Play is at the heart of everything we do. Through carefully planned play opportunities, children develop early literacy and numeracy skills, build curiosity, and learn to make sense of the world around them. We are very proud of our newly designed outdoor area which provides children with opportunities to develop their problem-solving skills, develop their physical strength and coordination, practise turn taking and teamwork and take safe risks whilst building their resilience. We offer everyone a very warm welcome.
