At St. Chad’s, we believe in teaching the importance of gratitude and reflection. This November, our whole school came together to mark Remembrance Day, paying tribute to the soldiers who gave their lives during wars around the world.

During a moving service, pupils showed the utmost respect as they honoured The Fallen. Following the service, some pupils visited the Cenotaph in Witton Park to lay our school poppy wreaths—a heartfelt gesture of remembrance from our community.

We were also honoured to welcome two veterans representing The Royal British Legion, who presented us with our fundraising certificate for The Poppy Appeal. Their visit gave pupils a deeper understanding of the significance of remembrance and the ongoing support for those who have served.

This meaningful occasion reminded us all of the importance of gratitude, respect, and remembering those who sacrificed for our freedom.
