Pupils at St Chad's Catholic Primary School in Witton Park have been taking part in an exciting School Council election, giving children the opportunity to share their ideas and contribute to school life.
Candidates from Class 2 proudly read their election manifestos to their classmates, outlining their ideas and explaining why they would like to represent their peers on the School Council. Following the presentations, pupils cast their votes as part of the democratic process.
The election was a fantastic celebration of democracy in action, with children demonstrating confidence, responsibility and respect as they participated. Every nomination statement included thoughtful suggestions and terrific ideas for the future of the school.
Staff were incredibly proud of all the children who stood up to deliver their speeches. Taking part required courage and preparation, and each candidate made a valuable contribution to the election.
The votes will now be counted and verified before the successful candidates are announced during assembly. The School Council will play an important role in helping to represent pupil views and support the school's ongoing commitment to providing the best possible education for its children.
Everyone at St Chad's Catholic Primary School wishes all of the candidates the very best of luck ahead of the results announcement.
